Forte3D FAQs

  • Each cello at Forte3D is meticulously crafted to order and personally assembled by Alfred Goodrich, our founder and CEO. Due to this artisanal process, please allow up to two weeks for us to prepare and ship your cello. We prioritize quality above all else, ensuring that each instrument meets our highest standards.

  • We offer a 4/4, full-size cello, but we're in development of fractional sizes.

  • The ribs, neck, and scroll are 3D printed out of a proprietary filament made of aerospace-grade carbon fiber-infused material. The top and back of the cello utilize the highest quality carbon fiber.  Ours is the only cello in the world that uses this patent pending design. The fingerboard, soundpost, and bridge are made from wood.

  • Our cellos perform beautifully in all weather conditions and environments; neither temperature nor humidity are a concern.

  • Yes! While we never recommend purposefully abusing your cello, our instruments are incredibly strong.  The aerospace-grade filaments and carbon fiber sheets are highly impact-resistant. Let us put it this way - would you feel comfortable standing on a wooden cello and bouncing up and down? If you have a strong stomach, you can see videos of us doing just that on our Tik Tok page :)

  • If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return the product(s) within 30 days of delivery for a refund. Contact us at contact@forte3d.com to learn more.

Returned items must be in the original packaging and condition - showing no signs of wear or abuse, and with all accessory materials (cases, straps, strings, certificates, etc). Refunds are issued to your original form of payment only.

  • Yes, we ship internationally and offer two different shipping options.

If you have additional questions purchasing outside of the United States, please email us at contact@forte3d.com, so that we can best accommodate you.

  • We can ship it in two boxes, one box has the neck and scroll, and the other box contains the body of the cello. This method is the least expensive.

The second option is shipping it in one box, which has the cello assembled in a case.  FYI import taxes may apply.
